My Story

Transformational Life Coach

In 1999 I suffered a stroke; I was only 37. Of course, this was devastating, and it took me a while to come to terms with the fact that my life had changed.

For almost 20 years I had been involved in the entertainment business as a professional acting coach, director, screenwriter and casting director. All that changed.

I spent several years learning to walk again and building strength (I now usually walk with one crutch) and spent my time studying for degrees and running small part-time businesses. I also spent many of those years looking for answers in psychology, NLP, self-development, life affirmation, Buddhism, Taoism, Mindfulness, and a range of self-help and development programmes.

Then in 2015, my health began to decline. My pain was increasing, I was suffering from sleeplessness, breathing difficulties, fatigue, persistent sciatica, and various other maladies. Then the various new diagnoses started: high blood pressure, hyper parathyroid, arthritis, and eventually severe depression.

Everything seemed hopeless; my future dismal and limited. It didn't help that my disability benefits were taken away for some reason (it was finally reinstated and back-dated). I was desperate and I tried everything to help my symptoms and pain, to improve my mental state.

Finally, I was sent to a mindfulness course by my doctor. I had been using mindfulness for years and didn't really think that it could help me more than it already did, however, I was desperate and would try anything - maybe I'd missed something.

Now, whilst mindfulness and meditation is helpful, it wasn't that or the course in itself that helped me. No, it was something I read in the book we followed toward the end of the course. A story about an old Cherokee Indian teaching his grandson about life and the battle of the two wolves going on inside him. When I read the line:

' "So which one wins" asked the boy.

"The one you feed" replied the old man.'

Wow! for me that was powerful. It made me stop in my tracks and a light-bulb went on in my mind, through my whole body into my being. For me it suddenly all made sense.

From that moment, I went in search of the story and further enlightenment and discovered Sydney Banks, the 3 Principles and various other teachers spreading the word. It resonated with the story for me.

Suddenly, my pain and other symptoms reduced (they haven't gone, but they are no longer hindering me) and more importantly, my depression lifted - SNAP! right in that moment - gone!

I stopped taking my medication, despite advice to the contrary by my chemist, and haven't felt the need ever since. I feel calm, relaxed and the future no longer feels frightening.

Quickly following that inspiration, I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life and that was to help others to see the truth of the 3 Principles and help them deal with their own life problems or struggles.

Believe me, it's happening all over the world - a growing movement. Many people, once they see the truth behind their problems can experience a life-changing and immediate improvement.

I want to help you do the same.
